Heather

Hi, my name is Heather. This is my 13th year teaching and my 6th year with A Stepping Stone. I am an Arizona native and love to serve my community helping the fantastic students and families we have here in Isaac School District.

Janet

My name is Janet and I have had the honor to be working in the Stepping Stone LEAF program for a total of 27 years as the Lead Teacher currently at our Synergy Public School site. I have my B.A. in Early Childhood Education and have worked for over 40 years in various roles as an educator: Preschool- Assistant Director, Teacher, and worked as a professional Nanny.

Working in the Stepping Stone program gives me the opportunity to work closely with families and their children. It is always a privilege to see how hard our families work to obtain a better education for their children and themselves. Each year brings new challenges and rewards. My commitment and passion to work in the Stepping Stone Program continues to grow each day as I see the excitement and wonder in every child. We really see tremendous growth each year in our students and their families. I appreciate all the support from the community to sustain our program.

Carlota

My name is Carlota, and I am working as a childcare teacher at our Synergy Public School site. This is my third year in the Stepping Stone Preschool program. I have many years of experience working with young children and I managed a licensed childcare in my home for over __ years. I also work in the afterschool program here at Synergy to provide tutoring and support to children attending First, Second and Third grade. I really enjoy working with children of all ages and their families. Working in a Stepping Stone Foundation childcare classroom has allowed me to work closer with families and build stronger relationships.

Helen

My name is Helen, and I have been in early childhood education for over ten years. After taking a short break from the classroom setting, I’m very excited to join the Isaac School District and A Stepping Stone. Being part of this program has been a seamless transition, and it reminds me of the impact we have as educators to help children thrive to their fullest potential in a loving and nurturing environment. Being a guide to learning is something that is very important to me, and I hope to continue to learn and grow alongside the students with the unique opportunity that this program provides.

Maria

My name is Maria , and I have worked over 17 years in the Stepping Stone Preschool with teacher Ms. Janet Castañeda. I have previously worked in Alhambra’s Head Start program for over 12 years. I currently have my Child Development Associate (C.D.A.) credential and I continue to attend classes to further my education.

The Stepping Stone Preschool program has allowed me to work closely with families and build strong relationships to help support our students. This program provides us many opportunities to work with the whole family. I feel blessed to be part of an organization that values children and their families.

Sofia

My name is Sofia, and I am currently working as an assistant teacher in the Stepping Stone childcare at Synergy Public School. This is my second year working in the childcare but previously I was apparent in the program with four of my children. I can honestly share that being in the program has helped me grow as a parent and provided me many educational opportunities. Having been in the program I have learned how to support our current families and how to care for all our students. A Stepping Stone Foundation has given me the skills to know how to continue to support my children’s education. I am honored to be in my new role as an assistant childcare teacher.
