Documentary: Part III

It is difficult for me to believe that almost a year ago A Stepping Stone Foundation was contacted by a field producer named Adam Raia, to see if we might be compatible for a Documentary he was working on.  Many of you know by now that was the Secret Millionaire project and that we were indeed lucky enough to be chosen to participate. That project was filmed October of 2011.

We learned earlier this week that Secret Millionaire has been temporarily pulled from the lineup and will be rescheduled later this year.  Please check back to find out the new date.  We will post it as soon as we have that for you.

In the meantime, please know that your good support has allowed us to open this ’12-’13 school year with another 35 families (85 individuals) who will finish the school-year long program in May of 2013.    We know that the preschoolers who go through our program will enter kindergarten ready to succeed and more likely to read on grade level upon entering the third grade. We know their parents will be better prepared to support them on their academic journey.

As concrete proof, watch for another post next week about the progress of two new office hires, Geraldine Medina and Bianca Ortega (PS class ’99), who have graduated high school and who will both work part-time at A Stepping Stone while they begin their college careers.

THANK YOU ALL!
