A Stepping Stone Foundation Blog
Hi! Glad to be Here!
Hello! My name is Bianca Ortega.
From what I remember, I started my preschool days with Carmen Sanchez. She was my preschool teacher at Isaac Preschool from the years 1998-1999. It seems like so long ago, but I do remember playing dress up and frolicking on the playground with my classmates. It was a time of ease.
I am now 18 years old and am finally finished with high school. I’ve learned a lot these past 14 years, from the beginning of preschool to now. I currently attend Grand Canyon University but will transfer to Arizona State University next fall. I plan to get my bachelor’s degree in biology and move on to medical school when I am finished. I aspire to work in any of these three careers; a dermatologist, a pediatrician, or a psychiatrist.
For now, I am working with A Stepping Stone Foundation, the organization that gave me my Billie Gannaway scholarship, as an office assistant. I am so thankful for this award and the opportunity Cindy Gattorna, the director of all this, has given me. This is my first paid job so I am glad to be building my job knowledge and skills here!
