The 2024 Rev. William O. Smith Memorial Scholarship Application (WOS)

  • This application is in addition to the BGMS scholarship and is awarded on a competitive basis. A Stepping Stone Foundation awards this scholarship to the winning applicant in addition to their Billie Gannaway scholarship. You may only receive one WOSMS award per lifetime. If A Stepping Stone Foundation awards you the WOSMS, you are no longer eligible to apply for or receive the WOSMS in any following award year.

    The completed application must be submitted to A Stepping Stone Foundation EXTENDED through:

    Friday, January 26, 2024.

  • Please answer the following 4 essay questions in detail. Remember, this is a competition and you'll want to do your best!

  • Thank you for your time and considered responses to these questions. The A Stepping Stone Foundation's Rev. William O. Smith Memorial Scholarship Essay committee will carefully review all entries. A spokesperson will contact all applicants with the results. All applicants, except the winner, are encouraged to reapply next school year. The winner may not reapply for this scholarship. Good luck!
