Understanding the need for strong community partners to maximize our impact, A Stepping Stone Foundation convened a group of stakeholders in the fall of 2017 to network about issues surrounding multi-generational learning.
Since then, our Two Generation Education Affinity Group (TwoGenEd) has been meeting quarterly on the first Monday of February, May, August and November.
The intention of each quarterly meeting is for us to hear about current efforts regarding two-generation education and to explore any opportunities to work together. Practitioners, funders, policy makers and elected officials are welcome.
Impact…
Our past meetings have featured funder panels, advocacy briefings at the Arizona Capitol, community of practice issue resolution and presentations such as fathers in education and statewide literacy centers.
If you would like to be included added to our mailing list in order to receive invitations to quarterly meetings, please contact A Stepping Stone Foundation office at 602-843-8281 or email [email protected].
Testimonials:
“The 2GenEd Affinity Group has been a wonderful source of information, inspiration and collaboration. Quarterly meetings are productive, thought provoking and powerful,”
says Donna Beedle Family Resource Center Manager AZCEND of Chandler AZ.
Regular attendee, Kelley Murphy, Early Childhood Policy Director at Children’s Action Alliance says,
“…meetings allow wonderful opportunities for networking and collaborating. One conversation during a meeting led to a collaborative effort between policy makers and early childhood advocates to develop a bipartisan Children’s Caucus that allows legislators the opportunity to learn about and discuss issues and policy proposals that impact children across Arizona.”
