Our Newest Expansion

On August 25th, in cooperation with Miami Unified School District and First Things First-Gila Council, and funded by Kemper and Ethel Marley Foundation, A Stepping Stone Foundation opened an expansion preschool and family literacy program in Miami, Arizona.  Please enjoy this excerpt from Superintendent of Miami Unified School District about our expansion written just yesterday:

We are holding strong at 15 families.  We have one student that may be leaving us and attending one of our other preschool classes due to some severe disabilities.  However, we have a waiting list and will have the slot filled in no time…

A grandparent that works in our school has a grandson in our program.  She has told me how thrilled they are that he is able to attend.  He is learning a lot and loves going to “school”.  He is blossoming in his social skills as well as language and academics…

I can only say that we are meeting a severe need in our area.  We are anxious to get the parent meetings going.  I have a parent ready to access the GED program in mid-October.  What a blessing this program is to our community.
